As we are an aided Church of England school, we have strong links with our two vicars, Canon Ian Tomlinson and Revd Ann McKenzie. Not only do they come into school each week to take assembly, but they support the teaching of religious education in the school. Sometimes they work with individual members of staff and they often get involved with teaching classes too.
Each year, following a concentrated teaching plan about the Eucharist, they hold a service for the children in Yrs 5 and 6 (Eagles and Kingfishers) to which parents, staff and members of the community are invited. As a result, some of the children go on to be confirmed.
Every year, the children in Yr6 visit the cathedral in Winchester for the day for a “pilgrimage” to help them with moving on to the next phase of their education.

Three times a year, at the end of term, we visit Kimpton Church for a service to which parents are invited. This is an opportunity for the children to forge their links with one of our local churches. They visit the others as part of their history and geography curriculum.
