Educational Visits
Each year the children are taken on visits relating to their curriculum studies. Sometimes these are within the locality of the school, but we also visit places further away. In Yr 5 and 6 pupils have the opportunity to take part in residential visits. Class teachers give as much notice as possible to parents in advance of a trip. Parents are always given the opportunity to pay in installments.
Charging
The School Governors review their policy on charging for school activities regularly.
We don’t usually make a charge for lunchtime and after school clubs run by school staff although sometimes parents may be asked for a small donation towards materials. After school clubs run by outside organisations will be charged to parents.
Additional instrumental Music Tuition is provided Hampshire Music Service and parents are required to pay for these lessons in advance.
Parents are asked to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of school visits and special events such as theatre productions. However if the parents’ voluntary contributions were insufficient, the visit would have to be cancelled.
