E-mail Print PDF
18th March 2010 Dear Parents, On the morning of Friday 23rd April we will be having an Eagles Class trip to Stonehenge.  The trip has been organised to enhance our forthcoming history topic.  The children will be able to take part in activities organised by English Heritage. The children should arrive at school at the normal time.  We will be leaving at 9.45am and will return to school in time for lunch.  School uniform and a coat will be needed.  Trainers or walking boots may be worn as we will be based outside for most of the morning. We will have the opportunity to visit the Stonehenge shop but your child should not bring more than £5 and understand that their money is their own responsibility. We will be travelling by minibus. We ask for a voluntary contribution of ,£9.50 per child.  Cheques should be made payable to HCC.  Please be aware that significant contributions need to be made to allow this trip to go ahead. Please return the slip below by Wednesday 21st April at the latest. Regards,
Mrs. Knowles

Dear Parents,                                                                                       5th January, 2010

 Netball Club Spring 2010

Due to the large numbers of children attending netball club we have decided to split the club over two sessions; Mondays and Thursdays. This is to ensure that all children actively participate in as much of the session as possible.

Mrs Hutchinson’s Monday’s club will be for more advanced players, where priority will be given to year 6. On Thursdays Miss McAloon will run a separate club for those less experienced players. Each club will be restricted to 12 children and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Please indicate which club your child would be interested in attending. Your child will be notified in writing on Friday as to which club they should attend.

Please return to the office no later than Thursday January 7th.

Kind regards,

Mrs Hutchinson & Miss McAloon

Test Valley Children's Centre Co-ordinator

Calling all families with children under 5 My name is Kim Francis and I am the Test Valley 5 Children’s Centre
Co-ordinator.
Currently in the Test Valley we have two centres based in Andover - Spring Meadow and Acorns. Some of you may already have been to groups, events or activities provided by these two centres and you are more than welcome to continue to do so – but now you can access services provided by children’s centres closer to your home. Our new Phase 3 children’s centre will be based at Barton Stacey Primary school but an outreach service will provide groups, activities, support and advice closer to you if you don’t live near to the centre’s main building. Services you may require could include: ·               a parent and toddler group (your village  may already have one but if not then we can look at setting one up)·               health visiting clinics·               childminder support groups, ·               parenting support and parenting courses·               holiday activities·               twins groups, mums groups and dads groups to get support and advice·               stay and play sessions.  To ensure that services offered from the Test Valley 5 Children’s Centre are right for your family, I would like to invite  you to complete a questionnaire so that you can have your say. Please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone me on 07540 238149, 01962 760340 or 01264 336718 so that I can send you a copy. The completion date is Friday 11 December. I would also welcome suggestions about what you would like the name of your new centre to be. Please let me know your ideas via the email or phone numbers above. Names suggested so far are Poppies, Poppy Fields, Tadpoles, Lillypads. If you like any of these names then please let me know. I am currently working from Barton Stacey School on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and Spring Meadow Children’s Centre on a Wednesday and Friday. If you wish to get in touch then please do so on the email and phone numbers above.

Studywiz letter

10th September 2009

Dear Parents,

As many of you know, Kimpton School now has it’s own ‘Learning Platform’. This is a secure website on which we can post bulletins and set work for the children. The children know it as ‘Studywiz’. We are aiming to begin using this site for homework purposes in the near future. In order to prepare you for this, we have arranged a training session so that you can learn how to help your child log on and use the site. There will be two opportunities for this on Monday 21st September, one between 2:00 and 3:00 and another between 5:00 and 6:00.

Please fill in the form below so we know how many people to expect.

Many thanks

C. Sexton
